Description:Michelangelo Clementi, established the Argenterìe Clementi in Casalecchio di Reno, in the Bologna area, at the begining of the XX century.
In 1912 Michelangelo Clementi and Wilkens & Son, one of the most famous german silversmith's dynasty, entered into a strategic partnership, that made the fine deco-style Clementi’s creations world-wide famous.
The workplace became soon a small factory producing hand- crafted silverware, the oldest in the Bologna district; therefore Clementi has the mark BO 1, the first silver factory registered in the area.
Clementi still produces elegant silverware. The firm manufactures also the famous Gianmaria Buccelati fine creations.
The dinner service is composed by 114 pieces. There are twelve pieces for each of the follow cutlery: fork, knife, soup spoon; fish fork and knife; fruit fork and knife; dessert fork; coffee spoon.
Condition are excellent considering age and use; no chips, no scratches, no restorations.
Marks: MC (for Michelangelo Clementi) 2) 800 (purity degree 800/1000), 3) 1 BO (lozenge mark identifying the silversmith
number).
Weight: Kg.4,865 / 156.413 Troy oz. The weight of the knives has been calculated 1/3 of their weight.
