A silver-gilt dinner service for twelve people, Frederic Boucheron, Paris, second half XIX century.
Description: This rare and important part of a vermeil silver dinner service was created by the celebrated jeweller and silversmith, Frederic Boucheron, in his workshop in Paris’s Place Vendôme.

The decoration, in typical French Regency style (1710-1730), takes the form of lambrequins and embossed female heads.

Made from silver gilt, the cutlery has been carefully chased throughout.
