Description:The Holy Child, crib figure, polychrome moulded terracotta, glass eyes, Naples, end of XVIII century. Unknown sculptor. It probably belonged to a crib, held by a private devout. It was a simple Nativity scene, enclosed in the so called "scarabattola", lodged in the bedroom. The neapolitan crib figures' characteristics are their heavily realistic pose and attitude, highlighted both by the moulding and by their polychromy.
Restorations: at the neck and around the hole on the nape, where the aureole was placed.
Age: end of XVIII century.
