Description:Engraving of Frederick V (1596-1632), King of Bohemia, known as der Winterkonig or "Winter King", Elector of the Rhenish Palatinate of the Holy Roman Empire, Duke of Bavaria, Marquis of Moravia, Duke of Silesia and Luxembourg, Marquis of Lusatia.
Engraving taken from a work by Michiel Jansz van Mierevelt (Delft, 1567-1641), official portrait painter to the House of Orange, the family to which Frederick V belonged.
Engraver: Willem Jacobsz Delff (Delft, 1580-1638).
In 1618, Delff married the daughter of Mierevelt, with whom we was to collaborate for twenty years. He was the King of England's personal engraver.
