Description:Lino Sabattini, born in Italy (Correggio 1925 - Bregnano 2016), was an artist and silversmith, self-taught, fascinated by modern architecture. He was discovered by the italian architect and designer Gio Ponti (Milan 1891 - 1979). From 1958 to 1963 he worked in Paris and Milan for Christofle, the famous manufacturer of fine silver flatware and home accessories. He began his activity in 1964 founding the 'Argenteria Sabattini' in Bregnano, in the province of Como. His works can be found in prestigious museums throughout the world.
The box has, inside, some oxidized parts.
