A pair of crystal and silver bottles, France, late XIX-early XX century.
Description:This pair of bottles, made from bevelled, hand-engraved, cut crystal, was originally designed for toiletries.
The grooves were created using a grinder, while the engraving features interwoven bands and branches.
The base of the bottles features the characteristic star found on most crystal pieces.
The silver stoppers are decorated with monograms (CPB)and acanthus leaves, laurels and berries.
Marks: 1)initials M&L by the silversmith inside the diamond shape; 2) Minerva's head 1st standard mark.
